Los republicanos conservadores están describiendo a los inmigrantes latinos como portadores del ébola para avivar el movimiento en contra de la reforma migratoria, pero los expertos de salud dicen que esos temores son extremadamente exagerados.

Los funcionarios dicen que no se han reportado casos de inmigrantes infectados por ébola que hayan ingresado a Estados Unidos por México y las autoridades fronterizas rechazan las afirmaciones de que la frontera no es segura. Aun así, muchos políticos siguen hablando de los peligros que existen, y buscan obstaculizar la reforma migratoria, la cual ha sido retrasada varias veces por el Congreso y el Presidente.

El jueves, el ex senador de Massachusetts y ahora candidato para el senado de New Hampshire, Scott Brown, dijo que él no quiere que los inmigrantes indocumentados crucen la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México porque podrían ser portadores del ébola.
