Sus mejores días parecían haber pasado, ya no tenía cupo en los equipos de Primera División de México, sin embargo Chivas USA ha apostado por Adolfo 'Bofo' Bautista para rescatar la franquicia.

Este martes el equipo angelino presentó a sus refuerzos para la temporada 2014, encabezados por el mundialista mexicano.

"Este es un nuevo capítulo en mi carrera que me tiene feliz, tuve una oportunidad de venir hace tiempo, pero por lo que sea no se dio. Ahora estoy feliz que sí se dio", dijo el jugador de 34 años de edad.

El ex jugador de equipos como Chivas, San Luis y Querétaro, confió en relanzar su carrera y retirarse en el balompié de su país.

"Si me gustaría retirarme con esta camiseta pero en México, sin embargo ahora mismo mi mente está en anotar muchos goles aquí", agregó.

"Tenía ofertas en México, pero decidí venir aquí desde la primera vez que charlé con la gente de Chivas USA", concluyó.

Bautista participó en el Mundial 2010 con la selección mexicana. Pese a que siempre ha sido reconocido por su gran calidad técnica, pesa sobre él la etiqueta de no trabajar fuerte en el aspecto físico.

Andrew Jean-Baptiste, Tony Lochhead y el argentino Mauro Rosales complementan el póquer de refuerzos de las Chivas para la próxima campaña de la MLS. El colombiano Wilmer Cabrera comandará al equipo en busca de salir del último puesto de la Conferencia Oeste donde terminó en la última competición.
