WASHINGTON (AP) El presidente Barack Obama se reunió el martes con directivos de empresas líderes del sector tecnológico, entre ellas Google, Twitter y Apple.

La reunión se concentró en cómo reparar la página de internet del gobierno para la nueva ley de gastos médicos, HealthCare.gov, así como en la reforma de la tecnología informática oficial. Se habló también de los programas de vigilancia de la Agencia de Seguridad Nacional, que han enfrentado duras acusaciones.

Algunas de las empresas presentes, como Yahoo, Microsoft y Facebook, han exhortado a Obama a limitar los programas de espionaje desde que se reveló la magnitud de la información que recolecta el gobierno a través de sus sistemas. Varias compañías están introduciendo tecnología de codificación para proteger los datos de los usuarios de los espías, tanto del gobierno como de otros sectores.

Se encontraban también los directores generales de Netflix, Comcast, LinkedIn, Etsy y AT&T.
