Cuando llegó a la Casa Blanca en el 2009, Barack Obama puso en apuros a la Agencia de Seguridad Nacional (NSA, por sus siglas en inglés) pues quería continuar usando su BlackBerry...pero ahora resulta que el Presidente se ha quedado un poco atrás en la tecnología y no le es permitido usar un iPhone.

Este miércoles durante un encuentro con jóvenes con el fin de promover su reforma sanitaria, conocida como 'Obamacare', el Presidente explicó que por razones de seguridad no puede usar un teléfono inteligente de la compañía Apple, de acuerdo con la agencia Reuters

Apple sería una de las compañías que permitiría acceso directo a la NSA a sus bases de datos, según la información revelada por el excontratista de esa agencia federal, Edward Snowden. Apple niega ese vínculo.

Obama dijo que sólo unas 10 personas saben cuál es su email personal y que ni George W. Bush ni Bill Clinton usaron correo electrónico durante sus mandatos.

BlackBerry, una compañía canadiense, anteriormente conocida como Research In Motion Ltd fue pionera en la implementación de los emails en la telefonía celular, pero que encontró fuertes y agresivos competidores como Apple y el sistema operativo Android de Google.

La companía de BlackBerry actualmente se enfoca en clientes como grandes corporaciones y gubernamentales.
