LAS VEGAS - ¿Cómo no sonreír? si su bolsa asegurada de este fin de semana serán la nada despreciable cantidad de 41.5 millones de dólares y eso no es todo, aún falta lo que genere el Pago por Evento.

Este fin de semana, gane o pierda, Floyd Mayweather Jr. asegurará su puesto como uno de los deportistas mejor pagados del mundo, el número uno de los boxeadores.

'MoneyMay' se medirá a Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez – quien ganará 10 millones de dólares - en un duelo que ha levantado muchas expectativas, pues no a diario se enfrentan dos campeones mundiales que tienen un récord sin mancha.

Con la experiencia que genera el ser boxeador desde hace 17 años, campeón desde hace 16, y enfrentado a los mejores peleadores del momento, Mayweather sube como amplio favorito para este duelo que tendrá lugar en el MGM Grand de Las Vegas, Nevada, lugar reservado para los mejores duelos.

Mayweather considera que esta pelea no representará un reto mayúsculo en su carrera, pues confía plenamente en que la presión domine al mexicano de a penas 23 años y con menos de una década de experiencia.

“Por su puesto que mi meta es mantenerme como invicto y revolucioné el boxeo, traje la atención a los pesos chicos, hice algunos movimientos inteligentes y limpié el deporte. Además de que puse a mi familia en una muy buena posición”, declaró el peleador que ha vencido a más de 17 campeones mundiales.

El 'Niño Bonito' del boxeo, quien calificó a su siguiente rival como un Rockstar, aseguró – sin menospreciar al 'Canelo' – que ahora el boxeo es mucho más sencillo y que el camino para llegar a campeón mundial ahora tiene menos obstáculos.

“El boxeo se está manchando, hay muchos cinturones, muchos campeones, debemos tener un solo campeonato y ya, cualquiera es campeón”, dijo.

Floyd – quien se considera a si mismo el actual rey de los boxeadores - abundó que para esta pelea buscará aumentar su desempeño, pues en su contienda anterior no quedó satisfecho con lo que logró ante Robert Guerrero a pesar de uan fractura en el puño.

Este martes dará arranque de manera oficial a las actividades previas a la semana de pelea con la entrada oficial de los peleadores al MGM.
