Para algunos, gimnasia, para otros medicina, el Chi Kung, o Qi Gong, es una práctica originaria de China, que día a día gana adeptos por su sencillez y sus resultados maravillosos. Uno de los objetivos de la práctica de estos ejercicios, lentos, suaves y conscientes, es el de regular la energía del cuerpo, y ayudar a relajar el sistema nervioso central.
Su práctica es una sencilla técnica que asocia los movimientos del cuerpo a la respiración y a la concentración. Las artes marciales, o disciplinas como el Tai Chi, y por supuesto el Chi Kung, tienen como principio llevar la energía a la región umbilical, que está relacionada con el cerebro profundo y primitivo que nos conecta con la naturaleza original del Ser, la "unidad" con la Fuente.
Ese punto es el Tan Tien (mar de la energía), un centro energético que tiene un papel central en estas disciplinas orientales relacionadas con el desarrollo físico y espiritual. El Tan Tien es el centro del cuerpo, el lugar donde se genera y almacena la energía Chi. Los japoneses le llaman Hara, ¿les suena? Sí, claro, donde los samuráis se cortaban el vientre, el harakiri. La energía generada en el Tan Tien, se usa para ayudar al cuerpo a que funcione normalmente, y además potencia sus capacidades físicas, mentales y emocionales.
Los ejercicios se realizan con respiración abdominal, desde el Tan Tien. Al respirar con el bajo vientre, quitamos presión al corazón y la respiración abdominal hace que esta zona envíe sangre y Chi al cuerpo, como si se tratase de un segundo corazón. De esa manera se activan los procesos energéticos del cuerpo, en armonía con el universo, convirtiéndose de este modo, en un poderoso método de sanación, fortalecimiento físico, y autoconocimiento.
No existen restricciones físicas ni límites de edad para iniciarse en el Chi Kung, su práctica otorga grandes beneficios, como prevenir enfermedades, fortalecer la constitución física, aumentar la resistencia en músculos, tendones y huesos, regular la circulación sanguínea, y aumentar en general, la resistencia a las enfermedades.
Hasta ahí, la introducción en el tema. Ahora, unas palabras desde mi experiencia personal, como practicante (entusiasta), de Chi Kung, y lo que significa para mí. Con respecto a la salud física, me ayudó a reforzar mis articulaciones, mis rodillas, a mejorar mi postura corporal. Sí, reconozco que mi postura corporal era fatal, ¡tantas horas frente al ordenador me estaban convirtiendo en una persona más pequeña! Ahora mi espalda está más erguida, ¡me veo más elegante! Y ahora las otras razones…
Desde el primer momento sentí una conexión muy profunda con mi Ser interior. La práctica del Chi Kung no solo me brindó bienestar físico, sino también espiritual, un verdadero "despertar" a sensaciones placenteras, únicas, siempre diferentes. El tiempo que dedico al Qi Gong me depara sorpresas: emoción, liberación, risas. Sí, ¡risas! Muchas veces me encuentro sonriendo, mentalmente, ante las sensaciones inesperadas que despiertan en mí las distintas posiciones. ¿Cómo no sonreír, "abrazando el árbol", "golpeando el tambor celeste"?
Estar al aire libre, respirando aire puro, imitando los movimientos de pájaros o animales, con "manos como nubes", "barriendo el arco iris", "empujando el cielo con las manos"... me siento plena, parte de la naturaleza, SOY naturaleza.
