BARCELONA, España (AP) — Neymar aseguró el jueves que "no habrá problema" en su relación con Lionel Messi en el Barcelona, y reiteró que su papel en el club español será ayudar al mejor futbolista del mundo.

El astro brasileño, refuerzo de lujo del Barsa tras llegar esta temporada del Santos de Brasil, ofreció su primera rueda de prensa tras debutar el martes con la camiseta azulgrana en un amistoso en Polonia.

Una de las grandes interrogantes tras su arribo es si funcionará la sociedad de ataque entre Neymar y su compañero argentino.

"(La relación) es maravillosa, con toda seguridad no habrá problema. Messi es un líder, el mejor jugador del mundo y yo estoy aquí para ayudar", declaró Neymar.

La estrella de la selección brasileña que ganó la Copa Confederaciones en junio indicó que jugar con el Barcelona es un "sueño de pequeño". "Giro la cabeza y veo a Messi, (Andrés) Iniesta, Xavi (Hernández), (Carles) Puyol..., soy más que feliz", agregó.

Neymar podría jugar su primer partido en el Camp Nou el viernes, cuando el Barcelona reciba a su ex club para disputar el Trofeo Joan Gamper.

"Será un gran partido. Espero poder marcar un gol contra el Santos. Tengo pensada la celebración y sería especial", adelantó. "Quiero todos los títulos. Particularmente, seré feliz si juego bien y ayudo al equipo".

El delantero de 21 años también indicó que está mejor físicamente, luego de ser operado de las amígdalas y perder tres kilos tras la Confederaciones.

"Estoy mejorando físicamente, entrenando fuerte", comentó. "Estoy intentando adaptarme rápidamente. El juego del Barça es de los más bonitos del mundo y me esfuerzo".
