A las 8 am, hora de Londres, se informó que la Duquesa de Cambridge ingresó al Hospital St Mary. Kate Middleton está de parto y se espera que en cualquier momento nazca el príncipe o princesa, el tercero en la línea de sucesión del trono británico, de acuerdo con CNN.

El príncipe William se encuentra al lado de su esposa en la misma clínica, donde él y su hermano, el príncipe Harry, nacieron.

En los últimos días, Kate Middleton se mantuvo en la casa de sus padres, informó CNN, en Bucklebury, Berkshire. Se desconoce el sexo del bebé como suele ser tradición en la familia real británica.

El nombre del bebé no se revelará inmediato: los padres dispondrán de un tiempo para hacer oficial cómo han nombrado al niña o niño. Carlos y Diana, Príncipes de Gales, y padres del príncipe Guillermo, esperaron alrededor de una semana.

Cuando se produzca el nacimiento se anunciará en un boletín que se colocará en un caballete de madera frente al Palacio de Buckingham, aunque dado al impacto de las redes sociales se hará un anuncio simultáneo vía Twitter para que la noticia sea compartida en cada rincón del mundo.

El hijo de la pareja tendrá varios nombres, como es tradición en las familias reales, y siempre que se le refiera, de manera oficial, será Su Alteza Real el Príncipe o la Princesa [Nombre] de Cambridge.

Por el momento, Kate ha solicitado que sea un parto natural, decisión que sólo podría ser alterada por una situación médica.
