La francesa Marion Bartoli se impuso en sets seguidos (6-1 y 6-4) a la alemana Sabine Lisicki para coronarse campeona de la edición 2013 de Wimbledon.

Para Bartoli, ésta fue su segunda final de Wimbledon tras la caída de hace seis años ante Venus Williams, pero éste es el primer Grand Slam que conquista.

Lisicki dio un gran torneo al eliminar previamente a dos de las fuertes contendientes al título, Serena Williams y Agnieszka Radwanska.

La final de hombres se llevará a cabo mañana entre el número 1 y el número 2 del mundo, el serbio Novak Djokovic y el británico Andy Murray.
