Todo parecía ser alegría en la cancha cuando el Bayern Múnich estaba recibiendo el trofeo que acreditaba al equipo bávaro como campeón de la Bundesliga. Sin embargo, un episodio fue muy molesto para Franck Ribéry, quien no pudo disfrutar de la celebración por un motivo religioso.

Saltando estaban los jugadores del Múnich sobre la grama del Allianz Arena, en plena euforia, sonrientes por la consecución del campeonato. Entre ellos se encontraba Ribéry, quien había lanzado una advertencia a sus compañeros: que no acercaran alcohol a él.

El francés practica la religión musulmana. El Islam prohíbe las bebidas alcohólicas en su máxima ley, el Corán. Tres veces se advierte en el libro sagrado que el consumo de alcohol acarrea perjuicios y es causa de vicio.

Esto no pareció importar demasiado en plena alegría a su compañero Jerome Boateng, quien vació un tarro de cerveza en la cabeza del francés.

Lo que era como un juego en el cual Franck huía de sus compañeros, era en realidad una lucha del atacante francés por mantener fidelidad a las leyes de su religión. Ribéry, molesto con Boateng, no ocultó su coraje después de las celebraciones: “No volveré a hablar con él. Sabe que soy musulmán. Estoy muy molesto”.

Así, el festejo no fue del todo placentero para el conjunto bávaro, toda vez que uno de sus jugadores clave terminó furioso por el nulo respeto a su fe.
