Con la confianza que genera tener un gran historial amateur, el cubano Guillermo Rigondeaux habla de derrotar al filipino Nonito Donaire con naturalidad.

Sin respeto y seguro de lo que afirma, El 'Chacal' - dos veces campeón olímpico Sidney 2000 y Atenas 2004, además de dos títulos mundiales amateur - le advirtió a su contrincante que lo peor que podrá hacer este sábado sobre el ring del Radio City Music Hall será confiarse.

"Mucho ha dicho Nonito que me noqueará y no se qué más. Que se le hace que soy muy buen boxeador pero que me falta experiencia. Allá él, que siga pensando que la tiene fácil", amenazó el peleador de 32 años.

Rigondeaux, quien participó en sus últimos Juegos Olímpicos en el 2004, debutó al profesionalismo en 2009 y desde entonces ha sostenido 11 encuentros y mantiene la calidad de invicto. Con tan sólo ocho peleas profesionales, Guillermo conquistó la corona mundial Supergallo de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo y la cual ha expuesto en dos ocasiones.

"No digo que esta pelea sea sencilla, pera mi será la pelea más complicada de mi carrera, pero creo que se fija mucho en los números y no toda la trayectoria que tengo dentro del boxeo, me está subestimando. Yo entrené duro. Vengo motivado. No necesito nada más para ganar", dijo a HuffPost Voces el cubano, quien desertó de la delegación cubana luego de participar en los Juegos Panamericanos de Río de Janeiro.

El 'Chacal' aseguró que de esta pelea podrán definirse muchas cosas en su futuro, por lo que una derrota queda casi descartada.

"Estoy dispuesto a dar una gran pelea. A lanzarme por el todo. Nonito es un muy buen peleador, con grandes cualidades, pero no puedo desaprovechar esta oportunidad. Es él o yo y se que tengo los elementos para vencerlo. Nadie es infalible", abundó Rigondeaux, quien aspira a quitarle la corona Supergallo de la Organización Mundial de Boxeo que tiene Donaire desde febrero del 2012.

A tan sólo cuatro días del duelo, Rigondeaux descartó sentir presión por el encuentro, pues aseguró que el que deberá de estar preocupado es el tagalo que tiene 32 peleas profesionales y sólo ha sido vendido en una ocasión.
