Cientos de personas están dispuestas cada día a esperar de dos a tres horas con el único fin de visitar la tumba de Hugo Chávez en el "Cuartel de la Montaña", donde fueron depositados los restos ante la imposibilidad de embalsamar el cuerpo, como había sido el interés inicial del gobierno venezolano.

Los medios de prensa en Venezuela se han hecho eco de las recomendaciones ofrecidas por las autoridades venezolanas para quienes estén interesados en visitar el sitio.

Entre las prohibiciones figuran no tomar fotografías o grabar videos dentro del recinto, así como no se ingerir bebidas o alimentos durante el recorrido, que dura apróximadamente entre 18 y 20 minutos.

Se recomienda que las personas lleven sillas portátiles para facilitar la espera, uso de gorras o sombreros para protegerse del sol,puesto que las autoridades no han habilitado toldos u otro tipo de protector, y se añade que no está de más llevar abrigos o impermeables para lluvias eventuales.

La tumba del exmandatario venezolano es una estructura llamada "Flor de Cuatro Elementos", que representa "el florecer de la nueva patria y la nueva América", según el gobierno venezolano. Lee aquí cómo fueron los últimos minutos de vida de Hugo Chávez.

El pasado viernes 15 de marzo trasladaron el féretro de Chávez desde la Academia Militar - donde se mantuvo por 10 días en capilla ardiente- hasta el "Cuartel de la Montaña", donde el militar socialista gestó el fallido golpe de estado de 1992.
