Robert Guerrero aspira a lograr lo que otros 43 peleadores han intentado desde que el estadounidense Floyd Mayweather debutó como profesional, derrotarlo.

El próximo 4 de mayo el peleador de origen mexicano buscará no sólo convertirse en el campeón mundial Welter del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo sino ser el primero en vencer a un campeón tan estable como 'Money'.

"Floyd será la prueba más dura de mi carrera. pero esa noche acabaré con su reinado", sentenció 'El Fantasma' Guerrero.

Guerrero ganó la posibilidad de enfrentar a Mayweather después de vencer a Selcuk Aydin en julio pasado y confirmó su calidad de más alto retador al dar cuenta del ex campeón mundial Andre Berto en noviembre.

"Fue un camino largo, pero por fin se me dará la oportunidad. Estoy listo para cualquier cosa. Mi entrenamiento será impecable, pues de este resultado depende el resto de mi carrera", detalló el peleador californiano.

Floyd acostumbra pelear en esa fecha y ha conseguido tres de las victorias más importantes de su carrera: Óscar de la Hoya (2007), el estadounidense Shane Mosley (2010) y el boricua Miguel Ángel Cotto (2012).
