Cristiano Ronaldo tuvo un reencuentro agridulce con el Manchester United. Hizo el gol del empate, pero no pudo cristalizar su buena actuación con una victoria en el Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. Manchester United salió vivo y con la ventaja del gol de visitante del partido de ida de los octavos de final de la Champions League.

"Merecíamos uno o dos goles más", dijo el delantero portugués al terminar el encuentro. Real Madrid triplicó en tiros a gol a los ingleses, pero la figura del arquero David De Gea se agigantó evitando la derrota.

En memoria de los seis años que pasó con el equipo en Manchester y además porque fue el club que lo proyectó a la fama mundial, CR7 no festejó el golazo que hizo en la primera parte.

"El Manchester United es una casa en la que he jugado seis años y a la que llegué de niño. Le tengo un cariño especial y no he celebrado el gol por respeto a una gente que me dio mucho", explicó.

Aunque ManU tiene la ventaja de haber anotado de visitante, Ronaldo no siente que haya nada decidido, de hecho aseguró que irán a Inglaterra con la misma filosofía que ha caracterizado por años a los merengues, que es ir siempre adelante.

"Tenemos las mismas posibilidades de marca allí y pasar a la siguiente ronda. Nosotros siempre llevamos la iniciativa y vamos a ir a ganar", concluyó.

Manchester United recibirá al Real Madrid en la vuelta el próximo 5 de marzo. Como dato curioso en las cuatro ocasiones que se enfrentaron previamente en rondas definitivas estos dos equipos, siempre avanzó el equipo que cerró la serie en calidad de visitante.
