MADRID (AP) — El presidente del Real Madrid Florentino Pérez denunció el jueves una campaña mediática para desestabilizar el club y negó que los capitanes del equipo pidieran la destitución del técnico José Mourinho.

Pérez, que rara vez ofrece ruedas de prensa, citó a los medios de comunicación en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu para un anuncio importante, lo que desató todo tipo de rumores sobre una posible destitución del entrenador portugués.

Sin embargo, el presidente blanco se limitó a desmentir una información de Marca. El deportivo español publicó el jueves que los capitanes del Madrid Iker Casillas y Sergio Ramos habían advertido que jugadores importantes del equipo abandonarían el club si Mourinho no se iba a final de la temporada.

Pérez negó tajantemente el supuesto ultimátum y reveló que el martes pasado se reunió con Casillas y Ramos para negociar las primas que cada año se reparte la plantilla en función de los títulos conquistados. Y que no se abordó ninguna otra cuestión.

"He venido a desmentir una información falsa que tiene por objetivo desestabilizar a la institución más prestigiosa del mundo", dijo Pérez. "El grado de responsabilidad de los capitanes es incompatible con esta información".

Horas después, Ramos y Casillas respaldaron el desmentido del mandatario.

"Nunca se planteó ningún tipo de ultimátum por nuestra parte respecto a la figura de nuestro entrenador", dijeron Casillas y Ramos a través de un comunicado oficial.

Un sector de la prensa española lleva tiempo aireando la presunta mala relación de Mourinho con una parte del vestuario, sobre todo los futbolistas españoles.

Preguntado por esa cuestión y sobre si el vestuario del Madrid es un polvorín, Pérez se limitó a responder que la información publicada en Marca le parecía una mentira gravísima y que no tenía nada más que añadir.

También aclaró que no había hablado con Mourinho sobre el tema.

El portugués cumple su tercera temporada en el Madrid, con el que ha ganado un título de Liga y una Copa del Rey. Después de firmar una ampliación el año pasado, su contrato finaliza en junio del 2016.

Esta campaña marcha tercero en la liga, a 15 puntos del líder Barcelona.
