La cantante Beyoncé cantó el himno nacional estadounidense con el que concluyó el acto público en el Capitolio de la investidura del presidente, Barack Obama, para su segundo mandato.
La artista fue al acto junto a su marido, el rapero Jay Z y eligió un vestido negro de terciopelo de la firma Pucci y un abrigo del mismo color de Christian Dior. Saludó muy efusivamente al Presidente y a la Primera Dama, Michelle Obama antes de entonar el himno, acompañada de la Banda de Marines de Estados Unidos.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Medios como el New York Post anunciaron que Beyoncé estaba haciendo playback durante su actuación, y que fue algo decidido de último minuto, según les confirma un vocero de la Banda de Marines.
"Toda la música había sido pre-grabada para la ceremonia porque pueden surgir muchas eventualidades y condiciones durante el día", dijo Kristin DuBois, representante de la banda, al Page Six del diario neoyorquino. "La banda interpretó todo en vivo, pero recibimos la noticia de último minuto de que Beyoncé usaría su canción pre-grabada. Esas fueron las instrucciones que se nos dieron y no sabemos la razón".
Ahora, Beyoncé está siendo criticada por hacer lip-sync y hacerle creer a la gente que estaba cantando en vivo, cuando no fue así. Incluso, le reprochan hasta el detalle que se quitó el audífono, como si no se estuviera escuchando, cuando ni siquiera estaba emitiendo sonido alguno.
