Una de las sorpresas de la última edición de los Golden Globe, celebrados este domingo 13 de enero, fue la aparición del expresidente Bill Clinton para presentar la película "Lincoln" del director Steven Spielberg. Mira la lista de ganadores.

La presencia del presidente número 42 de Estados Unidos provocó furor entre los famosos de Hollywood, quienes le dieron una calurosa bienvenida, todos de pie, aplaudiéndole y constantemente tirando fotos con sus celulares. Los mejores y peores vestidos de la alfombra roja.

"Una pelea dura para lograr pasar un proyecto de ley en un Congreso amargamente dividido" fueron las palabras con las que Clinton comenzó su discurso de presentación para describir lo difícil que había sido para Lincoln lograr la aprobación de la Enmienda 13 de la Constitución de Estados Unidos.

"Ganar requiere que un presidente tenga que hacer muchas negociaciones desagradables, que a su vez no tienen nada que ver con el problema principal. Yo no sé nada acerca de eso", bromeó Clinton ante la audiencia que no dejaba de aplaudirlo y de reír.

"La lucha del Presidente Lincoln para abolir la esclavitud nos recuerda que para que algo progrese tiene que forjarse en un caldero de principios y compromisos", añadió Clinton. "Este brillante filme nos muestra como el lo hizo y nos da la esperanza de que lo podemos volver a hacer", enfatizó.
