LOS ANGELES (AP) — Horas después del sorpresivo desaire a Ben Affleck en las nominaciones a los Oscar, el actor ganó el premio Critics' Choice al mejor director por "Argo", que a su vez fue nombrada mejor película.

Affleck, cuyo filme fue postulado a siete premios de la Academia que incluyen mejor película mas no mejor director, aceptó el honor el jueves por la noche en la 18 entrega anual de los premios de la Asociación de Críticos de Cine, en Santa Mónica, California.

"Me gustaría agradecerle a la Academia", bromeó al recibir su premio.

Daniel Day-Lewis de "Lincoln" y Jessica Chastain de "Zero Dark Thirty" ganaron los Critics' Choice al mejor actor y mejor actriz, respectivamente. Philip Seymour Hoffman se llevó el premio al mejor actor de reparto por su trabajo en "The Master" y Anne Hathaway el de mejor actriz de reparto por "Los miserables".

Los cuatro actores también son candidatos al Oscar.

El chileno Claudio Miranda, igualmente postulado por la Academia, fue galardonado por la cinematografía de "Life of Pi", dirigida por Ang Lee.
