CIUDAD DE MÉXICO - El mayor logro en la historia del fútbol mexicano ha sido capturado en un documental de poco menos de una hora de duración, donde se revelan detalles íntimos del equipo encabezado por Luis Fernando Tena.

Oro es una pieza cinematográfica dirigida por los cineastas Carlos Armella y David Romay sobre la selección mexicana de fútbol que logró la medalla de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos Londres 2012, al vencer en la final jugada en Wembley a Brasil por marcador de 2-1.

Este filme ofrece escenas inéditas al interior del vestuario del 'Tri', donde el entrenador dio discursos eufóricos y memorables antes de la disputa del oro, también entrevistas con jugadores clave como Giovani Dos Santos, Jesús Corona y Carlos Salcido.

Además hay una revisión sobre los momentos más álgidos que vivió el equipo cuando vivieron un escándalo previo a la Copa América y la recuperación posterior en los Juegos Panamericanos, el Preolímpico y el Torneo Esperanzas de Toulon, que ganaron.

México nunca había ganando una medalla áurea en fútbol, el deporte por excelencia de México. El logro les valió múltiples reconocimientos, como el Premio Nacional del Deporte 2012 y a Luis Fernando Tena ser considerado como el tercer mejor entrenador del año por organismos reconocidos.

Este documental fue producido por la Federación Mexicana de Fútbol y Coca Cola para su distribución en televisión abierta mexicana y el sitio electrónico de la refresquera.
