Nonito Donaire derrota y retira a Jorge 'Travieso' Arce con espectacular nocaut (VIDEO)

HOUSTON - Con un nocaut efectivo en el tercer round, el peleador mexicano Jorge Arce dijo adiós al boxeo profesional.

"Se lo prometí a mis hijos. Si perdía esta noche me retiraba y lo hice ante el mejor. Me voy satisfecho", dijo el mexicano aún en el ring del Toyota Center de Houston, Texas, donde la noche del sábado fue vencido por el peleador filipino Nonito Donaire a un segundo de que se acabara el tercer round.

El 'Travieso' Arce se quedó con las ganas de convertirse en el primer mexicano en lograr superar la prueba que representa el 'Filipino Flash', quien en 11 años ha vencido a 14 aztecas.

"Era cuestión de tiempo, él (Travieso) y yo sabíamos que el primero que cometiera un error perdería. Esta victoria va con mucho cariño a los filipinos", dijo Nonito a HuffPost Voces justo al bajar del ring.

El 'Travieso' había proyectado que los primeros rounds serían muy complicados en la pelea por lo que dejaría a Nonito todo el desgaste, para después iniciar su labor más allá del cuarto episodio. No pudo concretar el plan de pelea.

Después de un primer round de estudio, el mochiteco de 33 años visitó la lona durante el segundo episodio a causa de un volado de izquierda que lo obligó a poner los guantes en la lona. Arce se levantó de inmediato y terminó el round con valentía.

Para el tercer y último episodio, Jorge salió a seguir trabajando en la misma forma pero un gancho entre la mandíbula y el oído logró lastimarlo y mandarlo de nuevo a la lona. Lastimado Arce se levantó a intentar sobrevivir los últimos 10 segundos, pero al bajar la guardia recibió de lleno un golpe a la barbilla que lo desconectó.

Con esta victoria Nonito hiló su victoria número 29, mientras que el mexicano sumó su séptima derrota.

"Me voy satisfecho del boxeo. Logré muchas cosas en este deporte", finalizó Arce.

Despues de ver esta pelea, y con la clara ventaja de el filipino sobre el travieso, creo que la decision de Arce es muy bien acertada, ya es tiempo de colgar los guantes, gozar de la familia, y tratar de estar ligado al deporte de los puños a traves de algún programa deportivo, como comentarista / narrador de este deporte. De todas maneras Arce ya hiso lo que tenia que hacer, y debe de sentirse orgulloso de todos sus logros, y victorias en su larga trayectoria. Felicidades en su proxima etapa de su vida.

lastima Arce, llegastes con mas fuerza en este pelea pero nada de estrateguia o buen boxeo, sabiendo que no tienes quijada para el nonito. lo peor no fue perder, sino haber hablado tanto antes de la pelea que le ibas a propinar un nockeo y el que salio como un perro atropellado fuistes tu.

el traviezo no era para pelear contra boxeadores del nivel de nonito, lo mejor es que se revuelque con boxeadores de su mismo nivel, y sobre todo ya empezar a quitar los boxeadores que ya estan viejos y caducados. pues no es show ver peleas de este tipo tan disparejas y se tornan aburridas.
