Pacquiao y Márquez lucieron en gran forma física

Manny Pacquiao bajó tranquilo de la báscula. Después de haber marcado 147 libras, límite en el que se pactó la pelea, el campeón mundial filipino se dijo tranquilo y listo para enfrentar por cuarta ocasión al mexicano Juan Manuel Márquez en un duelo en el que asegura necesita una victoria contundente.

"Buscaré el nocaut y si tengo oportunidad lo concretaré. Esta pelea es importante", dijo a HuffPost Voces minutos después de bajar de la báscula el peleador de 33 años de edad, quien buscará dejar atrás el amargo sabor de la derrota que dejó su tropiezo ante el estadounidense Timothy Bradley hace seis meses.

En la ceremonia de pesaje, Juan Manuel Márquez - quien fue el que contó con mayor apoyo de los fanáticos - sorprendió al detener el fiel de la balanza en 143 libras y dando casi dos kilos de ventaja a su acérrimo rival.

"Es algo que ya teníamos contemplado. Juan Manuel no se va a exponer a que le falte la velocidad que para este pleito es elemental. Lo que si es que con esta diferencia de pesos tendrá que ser muy cuidadoso en no desprotegerse", dijo a HuffPost Voces el preparador físico de 'PacMan', Alex Ariza.

Juan Manuel mostró un físico más marcado que el filipino y demostró disfrutar el ambiente que se está generando al rededor de la cuarta contienda que sostendrán. Contrario a las otras tres contiendas, esta vez Juan Manuel fue apoyado por los mexicanos asistentes en todo momento y cuando Manny subió al ring se escuchó un fuerte abucheo.

"Fue diferente subir y que se escucharan más mexicanos, pero eso es algo que no le pone mucha atención Manny. Esta pelea es muy importante así que subirá a presionar mucho desde el primer round. Tirando muchos golpes y buscando, si se puede, el nocaut", explicó Ariza.

Para esta pelea los organizadores del evento proyectaron un lleno, pues los 16 mil asientos del Gran Garden Arena ya se agotaron, generando ganancias por 10.5 millones de dólares, y se espera que se agote también el boletaje para los circuitos cerrados.
