Este año, los Premios Grammy celebran la diversidad de la música y gran prueba de ello es que hay seis artistas muy distintos entre sí que están empatados por ser de los más nominados, con Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Dan Auerbach de The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons y fun consiguiendo seis postulaciones cada uno.

En el rubro latino, según reporta la AP, los grandes ganadores del Latin Grammy Jesse & Joy y Juanes volverán a enfrentarse en febrero, cuando compitan nuevamente por un gramófono dorado, esta vez en la entrega anglo de los premios.

El dúo pop mexicano y el rockero colombiano fueron nominados el miércoles al Grammy al mejor álbum de pop latino por "¿Con quién se queda el perro?" y "MTV Unplugged", respectivamente, junto con Ricardo Arjona ("Independiente"), Fonseca ("Ilusión") y Kany García ("Kany García").

Arturo Sandoval, otro gran ganador en los Latin Grammy, recibió una candidatura a mejor álbum de conjunto de jazz grande por "Dear Diz (Every Day I Think of You)", dedicado a su desaparecido mentor, el gran Dizzy Gillespie.

En la categoría de mejor álbum latino de rock, música urbana o alternativa fueron nominados Campo ("Campo"), Carla Morrison ("Déjenme llorar"), Quetzal ("Imaginaries"), Sistema Bomb ("Electro-Jarocho") y Ana Tijoux ("La bala").

El premio al mejor álbum de música regional mexicana, en tanto, se disputará entre Lila Downs ("Pecados y milagros"), Los Cojolites ("Sembrando flores"), Los Tucanes de Tijuana ("365 días"), Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea ("Oye") y Gerardo Ortiz ("El primer ministro")

Y por el gramófono al mejor álbum de música tropical compiten Raúl Lara y sus Soneros ("Cubano soy"), Eddie Montalvo ("Desde Nueva York a Puerto Rico"), Marlow Rosado y La Riqueña ("Retro") y Romeo Santos ("Formula Vol. 1").

En cuanto a jazz, además de Sandoval fueron postulados en el rubro de mejor álbum de latin jazz Chano Domínguez ("Flamenco Sketches"), The Clare Fischer Latin Jazz Big Band ("¡Ritmo!"), Bobby Sanabria Big Band ("Multiverse"), Luciana Souza ("Dúos III") y Manuel Valera New Cuban Express ("New Cuban Express")

La entrega de los premios Grammy será el domingo 10 de febrero en el Staples Center de Los Angeles.

La Academia de la Grabación anunció los nominados en un puñado de categorías durante un concierto en Nashville, Tenessee, al que siguió un comunicado con el resto de los postulados.
