JERUSALEN (AP) — La secretaria estadounidense de Estado, Hillary Rodham Clinton, regresó el miércoles a Jerusalén para sostener otra ronda de conversaciones con las autoridades israelíes en busca de forjar una tregua entre Israel y el grupo Hamas en la Franja de Gaza, informó un funcionario.

Indicó que Clinton volvió a Israel horas después de reunirse con el presidente palestino Mahmud Abbas en Cisjordania.

La fuente hizo las declaraciones a condición del anonimato debido a que carecía de autorización para hablar en público del asunto.

Clinton se reunirá con el primer ministro israelí Benjamin Netanyahu, el ministro de Defensa Ehud Barak y el canciller Avigdor Lieberman como parte de sus gestiones por establecer un acuerdo que satisfaga a las partes trenzadas en un enfrentamiento armado desde hace ocho días.
