El argentino Lionel Messi fue la estrella más brillante de entre la constelación de jugadores de la selección argentina que arribó a Arabia Saudita para un partido amistoso en el marco de la última Fecha FIFA del año.

Desde que puso un pie fuera del avión, 'Leo' fue abordado por una numerosa comitiva que lo acompañó durante todo su trayecto hasta el autobús que lo llevaría a su hotel.

El incidente que recorre las redes sociales se dio en la banda donde se recoge el equipaje. En el tumulto un guardia intentó protegerlo, pero su arma de cargo prácticamente quedó con el cañón frente a la cara del astro del Barcelona. Fue fugaz el momento, pero bastó para ser de lo más comentado en la red.

Va Messi por más récords

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Tras superar a Pelé en la lista de máximos goleadores en un año natural, Lionel Messi pondrá proa a nuevas hazañas cuando salga el miércoles con Argentina en un amistoso ante Arabia Saudita, en Riad.

Messi viene de meter un doblete en la victoria 4-2 de su equipo Barcelona ante Mallorca en la liga española, con lo cual el fenomenal delantero alcanzó 76 goles durante 2012, contando los conseguidos entre el Barsa y la selección argentina.

Eso representa uno más de los que sumó la leyenda brasileña Pelé con el Santos y su selección en 1958.

Messi ahora tiene en la mira el récord de 85 dianas en un año calendario, propiedad del alemán Gerd Mueller en 1972.

Y con tres goles más igualaría a Diego Maradona en la selección, quien totalizó 34 en 91 partidos. Messi lleva marcados 31 tantos en 75 presentaciones con la Albiceleste.

"Dirijo a Messi y siento que fui tocado por la varita mágica", dijo el técnico de Argentina Alejandro Sabella en una entrevista con el diario Clarín de Buenos Aires.

Sabella dijo que Messi saldrá en el ataque junto con Sergio Agüero (Manchester City, Inglaterra) y que aún no decidió quien jugará en lugar del también delantero Gonzalo Higuaín (Real Madrid, España), quien sufrió una lesión en la pierna izquierda jugando en la Liga de Campeones.

Además de Higuaín, en los Albicelestes serán baja por distintas lesiones el defensor Ezequiel Garay y los volantes Fernando Gago y Enzo Pérez, dijo la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino.

Como técnico de Arabia Saudita saldrá el holandés Frank Rijkaard, el mismo que hizo debutar a Messi en Barcelona en 2004.

Mientras Argentina lidera las eliminatorias sudamericanas rumbo al Mundial de Brasil 2014, Arabia Saudita ya quedó eliminada en su región.

Una de las figuras más destacadas de los saudíes es su capitán Osama Hawsawi, del Anderlecht belga.

El choque ante Arabia Saudita será el primero de Argentina en la recta final del año y comienzos de 2013: el 21 de noviembre recibirá a Brasil por el Superclásico de las Américas que ambos seleccionados disputan con mayoría de jugadores de sus respectivas ligas.

Argentina cerrará esos tres amistosos el 6 de febrero ante Suecia, en Estocolmo.
