A sus 21 años de edad, con dos ciclos olímpicos completos y un récord amateur de 200 peleas, Óscar Valdez está entusiasmado por dar el salto al profesionalismo.

Este fin de semana en el Centro de Usos Múltiples de Hermosillo, Sonora, Oscar Valdez Fierro hará su debut al profesionalismo en un duelo pactado en peso Pluma ante Ángel Prado.

"Es algo que había soñado desde hace mucho tiempo, subir al ring sin careta a dar todo. Estoy más que listo. Me preparé para este momento desde hace mucho. Ya quiero que llegue la hora", dijo a HuffPost Voces el peleador que conquistara el oro en los Centroamericanos en el 2010 y quien debido a su experiencia debutará a 6 episodios.

"Si mi rival quiere boxear lo haremos si quiere fajarse yo encantado, eso lo que me gusta y el objetivo es que mi gente sonorense disfrute. Para mí es un honor debutar en Hermosillo, donde tuve mi primer contacto con el boxeo desde niño, y ahora que me convierto en profesional, es muy especial", aseguró.

Conformando el resto del cartel, el campeón mexicano en receso Ulises Solís hará su regreso oficial a los encordados luego de 14 meses de ausencia.

El peleador de Guadalajara, Jalisco, quien sufrió una fractura de mandíbula en un pleito callejero regresará para pelear en peso Supermosca ante el sinaloense Jesús Iribe.

"Vengo bien preparado, duré un año sin poder hacer ejercicio pero desde que me dieron el alta médica me puse a entrenar y llegaré en muy buenas condiciones gracias al trabajo que hice en Tijuana con mi preparador físico Raúl Robles, respeto la carrera de Iribe y se que será una gran pelea, pero yo voy por lo mío que es el campeonato mundial y estamos listos para lograrlo", aseguró Solís, quien buscará reconquistar la calidad de campeón mundial.
