Con una polémica actuación arbitral, la escuadra del Manchester United sacó una importante victoria en el estadio de Stamford Bridge, luego de quitarle el invicto en la Premier League al conjunto de Chelsea al derrotarlo 3-2 y, de esta manera, acercarse al liderato general del certamen.

El equipo del director técnico Alex Ferguson con el triunfo brincó al segundo lugar al sumar 21 unidades, una menos precisamente del cuadro de los Blues, que con su primer descalabro de la justa se quedó con 22 puntos.

EL JUEGO
En un primer tiempo bastante movido, el cuadro del Manchester United fue la escuadra que logró aprovechar mejor sus oportunidades de gol, a pesar de haber sido dominado en la mayoría de los primeros 45 minutos, teniendo en el portero David De Gea como su gran figura.

Cuando apenas ambos conjuntos se estudiaban en los primeros minutos, la escuadra visitante logró abrir el marcador al minuto 3 por medio de un autogol de David Luiz, quien para su mala suerte le rebotó una pelota que había pegado en el poste a tiro de Robin van Persie.

La banda derecha empezó a ser la vía de entrada del ManU, por lo que al minuto 12 la escuadra de Alex Ferguson logró aumentar su ventaja en los botines de Van Persie, luego de que el atacante holandés recibiera un excelente pase de Valencia por el corredor derecho para mandar riflazo al fondo de las redes.

Chelsea poco a poco se empezó a recuperar, por lo que comenzó a llegar con más idea al arco rival; su mejor futbol llegó en los últimos 15 minutos de la primera mitad, en la que no dejó respirar al cuadro visitante, teniendo llegadas serias en cabezazos de Gary Cahill y Fernando Torres, pero la figura del portero De Gea se erigió con oportunas intervenciones.

Sin embargo, al 43' en una falta de Rooney sobre Hazard en la media luna hizo que Juan Mata acercara a su equipo en el marcador, ya que en el tiro libre colocó de zurda el balón al lado derecho del portero De Gea, quien al tratar de adivinar perdió un tiempo y ya no pudo alcanzarlo.

Para el segundo tiempo, el conjunto de los Blues siguió siendo mejor y rápidamente lo logró reflejar en el marcador con el gol del empate de Ramírez al 52', quien dentro del área chica le ganó el salto a Cleverley para rematar de cabeza un excelente centro de Juan Mata.

Manchester United empezó a reaccionar ante la anotación del empate y al 63' logró hilvanar una jugada en la que Ashley Young se fue solo frente al portero, pero Ivanovic le cometió falta por atrás y el silbante le sacó la roja directa, el cuadro local se quedó con un hombre menos.

Sin embargo, al 68' el árbitro del partido cometió un gravísimo error al expulsar injustamente a Fernando Torres, a quien lo amonestó con su segunda tarjeta amarilla por 'fingir' una falta de Evans, la cual sí existió.

Con dos hombres más en la cancha, el conjunto del Manchester United le sacó provecho al minuto 74 con el gol del recién ingresado Javier Hernández, quien en fuera de lugar logró mandar al fondo de las redes el balón, luego de un disparo-centro de Rafael dentro del área grande por el costado derecho.

El conjunto del Chelsea, a pesar de la inferioridad numérica en el terreno de juego y con la desventaja en la pizarra, no bajó los brazos y siguió luchando en busca del gol del empate, pero el equipo de Ferguson se replegó bien en su terreno de juego para cuidar su ventaja.

En los minutos finales, el cuadro de ManU estuvo más cerca de cuarto en los botines del mexicano Javier Hernández que Chelsea del empate, por lo que el partido quedó sentenciado para la escuadra visitante.
