A pesar de que su equipo el Mallorca fue derrotado en el estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan por el conjunto del Sevilla 3-2, el jugador mexicano Giovani Dos Santos tuvo en su debut una actuación destacada, luego de poner los dos pases de gol de su escuadra, no obstante de haber jugado 60 minutos.

Con esta cuarta victoria sevillana en la liga española, el cuadro del timonel Michel brincó a la quinta posición al llegar a 14 unidades, mientras que la escuadra de Joaquín Caparrós se quedó con 11 puntos, quedando en el octavo lugar de la tabla general.

EL JUEGO
En partido fue entretenido de principio a fin, en el primer tiempo la escuadra del Sevilla no supo aprovechar el tener más tiempo el balón, pues solamente pudo concretar en una sola ocasión todas las opotunidades que generó, siendo su mejor hombre Jesús Navas, quien por la banda derecha fue un dolor de cabeza para la zaga visitante.

Mientras que el equipo de Mallorca, a pesar de que le movieron por toda la cancha el esférico, demostró su contundencia al frente, ya que sus dos únicos chances terminaron en gol, teniendo como su motor al mexicano Giovani dos Santos.

Cuando se vio que el cuadro sevillano estaba más cerca del gol, el conjunto bermellón logró abrir el marcador en una gran jugada de Dos Santos, quien mandó centro exacto desde tres cuartos de cancha para Bigas al área grande, quien aprovechó la mala salida del arquero Palop para hacerle sombrerito y entrar con todo y pelota a la portería.

Pero la escuadra rojiblanca reaccionó rápidamente con el gol en contra al minuto 28, luego de que por la banda izquierda Manu sacó centro, el cual fue rebotado al centro, por lo que Negredo sin pensarlo mandó riflazo de derecha al fondo de las redes.

Mas el gusto le duró poco al timonel Michel, pues al minuto siguiente llegó otra genialidad del mexicano Giovani Dos Santos, quien con buena técnica logró filtrar un excelente pase para Tomer Hemed, que no tuvo problemas para definir ante la salida del portero rival y mandar el balón a visitar las redes por segunda ocasión.

No obstante a esta segunda anotación, Sevilla siguió teniendo la esférica, pero empezó a caer en el pelotazo, por lo que el Mallorca controló la parte final de los primeros 45 minutos y ya no permitió que la pizarra se moviera.

El complemento inició con mucha intensidad por parte del cuadro sevillano, que después de tanto presionar por fin logró el tanto de la igualada al minuto 56, luego de un buen centro de Cicinho por la banda derecha, en el que Negredo con gran salto puso de cabeza el balón al primer poste del portero.

Sevilla continuó siendo amo y señor del partido, pero continuó dejando escapar oportunidades de gol, la más clara estuvo a cargo de Navas, quien al minuto 69 se perdió un mano a mano con el portero Aouate, quien logró mandar a tiro de esquina.

Al 74' por fin la escuadra del Sevilla logró ponerse arriba en el marcador y reflejar su dominio con el gol de la voltereta. La jugada inició en un tiro de esquina, en la que en un rebote Cicinho lo tomó de volea y colocó la redonda al lado derecho del arquero.

Ya con la ventaja, el conjunto sevillano siguió siendo mejor y comenzó a manejar el partido, teniendo muy poca respuesta del cuadro del Mallorca, por lo que estuvo más cerca del cuarto que el visitante del tercero, por lo que el juego quedó sentenciado.
