MEXICO (AP) — Con dos goles de Omar Bravo, Cruz Azul venció el sábado 3-2 a Querétaro y se metió de lleno en la pelea por los primeros puestos del torneo Apertura mexicano.

Bravo abrió la cuenta a los ocho minutos y luego añadió un tanto a los 40 por la "Máquina", que con el resultado llegó a 21 puntos para colocarse como cuarto lugar de la clasificación general a la espera del resto de encuentros de la 13ra fecha. Fue la segunda victoria seguida en casa para Cruz Azul.

Sólo los ocho mejores equipos de la tabla avanzan a la pelea por el título.

El torneo es comandado por Tijuana, que el sábado empató 2-2 con Santos para alcanzar los 28 puntos, por 26 que tiene el Toluca que esta semana pospuso su encuentro. El León llegó a 24 unidades tras vencer 2-0 a los Tigres.

El argentino Mario Pavone, quien llegó como refuerzo esta temporada, añadió un gol a los 58 por Cruz Azul, uno de los cuatro equipos más importantes en México que en el Apertura 2012 busca romper una racha de casi 15 años sin ganar un cetro.

Los goles de Querétaro fueron obra del uruguayo Diego Vera a los 30 minutos y Luis Landín a los 71. Querétaro sufrió su cuarto revés en fila y con sólo dos puntos en el fondo de la clasificación asoma como el candidato que más peligra para perder la categoría la próxima temporada.

En León, el uruguayo Matías Britos abrió la cuenta al primer minuto y su compatriota Sebastián Maz añadió un tanto a los 36 al cobrar un penal para los Esmeraldas, que han sido la revelación de la temporada tras conseguir el ascenso.

León sumó su cuarta victoria en los últimos cinco partidos, mientras que los Tigres perdieron su tercero en fila para quedarse en 14 puntos como 12do.

En Torreón, el argentino Daniel Ludueña convirtió tantos a los ocho y 72 minutos por Santos, mientras que el estadounidense Gregory Garza, a los 28, y el colombiano Duvier Riascos a los 68 marcaron los tantos por los "Xolos".

Santos sumó su segundo empate consecutivo y acumula 20 puntos para consolidarse como quinto general.

En otro encuentro sabatino, el San Luis dejó ir una ventaja de dos goles y empató 2-2 con el Atlante.

Luis Ángel Mendoza abrió el marcador a los tres minutos y Noé Maya marcó a los 61 para adelantar a los Reales, pero Jerónimo Amione marcó tantos a los 82 y 90 minutos para darle el empate a los Potros de Hierro.

San Luis llegó a 10 unidades y se mantiene como 17mo, mientras que el Atlante suma 14 puntos y es 14to.
