BARCELONA .- El Rayo Vallecano puso fin a una racha de tres derrotas al hilo este sábado al ganar por 2-1 al Deportivo La Coruña en la liga española de fútbol y se situó en la zona noble de la tabla clasificatoria con 10 puntos.

Goles de Piti Medina a los 18 minutos y José Carlos Fernández (29) decidieron por el conjunto madrileño ante el solitario tanto de Pizzi (41), quien recortó de penal para el Deportivo, huérfano de victorias tras derrotar a Osasuna en su arranque liguero.

En el segundo partido de la jornada, el Getafe ganó por 1-0 en Zaragoza, un triunfo facilitado por las expulsiones de los locales Cristian Romaric y Alvaro González y certificado por el tanto de penal de Diego Castro (64).

La programación se completa con los cotejos Valladolid-Espanyol y Betis-Real Sociedad, aunque el gran choque de la séptima fecha no es otro que el clásico entre el Barcelona y el Real Madrid, que se disputa el domingo en feudo catalán.

El Rayo exhibió su mejor nivel en una primera mitad en que dominó la escena y convirtió sus ocasiones ante un Deportivo especialmente vulnerable por el flanco izquierdo de su zaga.

El cuadro local adivinó el punto débil y por allí fabricó los dos primeros goles del partido. El 1-0, obra de Piti al rematar un centro de Leo Baptistao, cayó tras una buena progresión entre José Carlos y Tito Triguero. El segundo, en desajuste defensivo del Deportivo, que permitió el pase atrás de Andrija Delibasic para el zapatazo de Juan Carlos, desviado a la red por Zé Castro.


El equipo visitante solo pudo recortar gracias a un riguroso penal de Javi Fuego a Alex Bergantiño que convirtió Pizzi.


Las imprecisiones fueron la tónica dominante en la segunda mitad, con ocasiones malogradas por ambos conjuntos.


La expulsión de Romaric por tarjeta roja directa en la primera mitad condicionó el Zaragoza-Getafe, a pesar de que los locales reaccionaron con bravura y contaron con mayores opciones de gol que el conjunto azulón.


Pero la segunda tarjeta roja a Alvaro fue demasiado para el Zaragoza, que vio como el árbitro señalaba penal en la jugada y Roberto Jiménez solo alcanzaba a tocar el disparo de Castro. Únicamente las intervenciones del arquero aragonés impidieron un triunfo más amplio del Getafe, que también sufrió la expulsión de Abdel Barrada en el tramo final.
