El conjunto del Real Madrid, sin emplearse mucho a fondo, logró conseguir su segunda victoria de la temporada de la Liga BBVA en esta quinta jornada, luego de derrotar en patio ajeno al equipo de Rayo Vallecano 2-0.

Este triunfo catapulta al cuadro madridista al séptimo lugar de la tabla general al llegar a siete puntos, que lo pone a ocho unidades de su acérrimo rival Barcelona (15), mientras que el conjunto del Vallecano se quedó con siete, ocupando el noveno puesto por su diferencia de goles.

EL JUEGO
Desde el silbatazo inicial el conjunto local respetó demasiado al rival, incluso su zona baja inició temerosa, por lo que el cuadro merengue empezó a llegar a modo ante el marco de Rubén, quien rápidamente se vistió de héroe luego de un cabezazo de Benzema a bocajarro.

Sin embargo, el gusto les duró poco, pues la escuadra de José Mourinho le puso número a la pizarra en un contragolpe terminado a la perfección por el delantero francés Benzema al 12', quien sólo tuvo que meter la pierna a un excelente pase raso por la banda izquierda de Ángel Di María.

Real Madrid siguió generando llegadas con mucho peligro que pudieron incrementar su ventaja, la más cara la dejó escapar Modric en un mano mano con el portero Rubén; sin embargo, el cuadro Vallecano poco a poco empezó a responder.

Su jugada más peligrosa y en la que casi logró el empate fue al 32', en la que Jordi Amat conectó con la cabeza dentro del área, e Íker, con grandes reflejos, rechazó la pelota, pero en el contrarremate de Casado el zaguero Xabi Alonso salvó en la línea final.

En los últimos minutos de la primera parte ambos conjuntos tuvieron oportunidades de concretar, pero el marcador ya no se movió.

Para la parte complementaria, los jugadores del Rayo Vallecano continuaron regalando muchos espacios y balones a sus adversarios en su zona defensiva; sin embargo, esto no fue aprovechado por el cuadro madridista, que lo mejor que pudo hacer fueron disparos de Ronaldo y Michael Essien.

El Real Madrid siguió siendo mejor, incluso al minuto 58' se le anuló de manera dudosa su segundo gol; sin embargo, Ronaldo, por la banda derecha, al 69' provocó que el silbante le marcara un penal a su equipo por unas claras manos de un zaguero vallecano dentro del área grande. El delantero portugués no tuvo problemas para anotarlo.

A partir de este momento, con la ventaja de dos goles y con los cambios que mandó al terreno de juego su entrenador, la escuadra merengue se adueñó de la pelota por completo, por lo que sus jugadores se regodearon en el área rival, sindo la jugada más peligrosa un tiro al poste de Ronaldo al 73'.

En la parte final del partido, Real Madrid controló las acciones, e incluso todavía el silbante le anuló un gol al recién ingresado Mesut Ozil por un fuera de lugar, mientras que la escuadra del Rayo se quedó con un hombre menos, luego de la expulsión de Casado, por lo que el marcador ya no se movió.
