Sevilla, Espa;a, 22 Sep. (Notimex).- Espanyol de Barcelona, que cuenta en sus filas con el mexicano Héctor Moreno, sigue sin conocer la victoria en lo que va de la Liga de España y este sábado perdió 0-1 con Real Betis en el Estadio Benito Villamarín.

El solitario gol fue obra del brasileño Paulo Afonso Santos Júnior, que le dio el triunfo a los suyos al minuto 18, resultado con el que Betis continúa en ascenso y con nueve puntos, y un partido menos, ya es tercero de la clasificación.

Espanyol, por su parte, que tras cinco jornadas no ha podido ganar, sólo ha conseguido un punto y se ubica en la penúltima, décima novena, posición.

En lo que respecta a la actuación del defensa Moreno, el mexicano fue por cuarta ocasión titular, disputó todo el partido pero una vez más, la zaga en general dejó mucho que desear en este partido.

Los “periquitos” no salieron “enchufados” y cometieron varios errores atrás, los cuales motivaron a los verdiblancos para que arriesgaran y a los 18 minutos, Paulo Santos abrió el marcador con certero cabezazo.

Para el complemento, los visitantes estuvieron cerca de empatar, lamentablemente, al minuto 61 se quedaron con 10 hombres debido a que el ghanés Mubarak Wakaso recibió su segunda amarilla y fue expulsado.

Con la ventaja numérica, Betis retomó el control y se dedicó a cuidar la ventaja, le costó trabajo ante un insistente Espanyol, pero al final la estrategia le resultó para amarrar la victoria.
