El delantero mexicano Carlos Vela logró su primer gol de la temporada en la Liga BBVA y ayudó a su escuadra Real Sociedad a conseguir su segunda victoria en lo que va del certamen al derrotar al cuadro del Zaragoza 2-0 en el estadio Anoeta.
El ariete azteca jugó 85 minutos del partido, pues en la parte final fue sustituido por Diego Ifrán; sin embargo, a pesar de no haber tenido muchas oportunidades frente al marco enemigo, se le vio muy participativo, luego de conseguir un gol, asistir para la otra anotación y hasta realizar labores defensivas.
El partido no fue nada fácil para el cuadro local, ya que el equipo maño no lo dejó hacer casi nada en la primera parte, incluso el equipo visitante tuvo más oportunidades de poder anotar, siendo su hombre importante en el ataque Hélder Postiga.
Sin embargo, para el segundo tiempo las cosas cambiaron con el gol al minuto 55 del zaguero Íñigo Martínez, quien logró rematar con la cabeza un centro de Carlos Vela que tuvo como destino las redes enemigas.
Ya con el gol a favor, la Real Sociedad comenzó a manejar el partido a su antojo, y no tardó esto en reflejarlo nuevamente en la pizarra con su segundo gol, luego de que el zaguero Javier Paredes le cometiera una falta dentro del área a Carlos Vela para que el silbante marcara penal. El romperredes mexicano lo ejecutó de zurda por el centro sin problemas.
A pesar de la desventaja, Zaragoza quiso acortar las distancias y, no obstante de que todavía llegó con peligro sobre el marco del portero Claudio Bravo, sus jugadores no tuvieron puntería, por lo que la pizarra ya no se movió y la Real Sociedad sacó un importante triunfo de su cancha.
