Lo es más cuando eres una niña de 13 años que conduce el coche de su hermano mayor - tomado sin permiso, por supuesto - para encontrarse con un amigo en línea a quien nunca antes había conocido en persona.
Así de lejos llegó Elizabeth Annette Robinson, de Cypress, Texas, quien estaba dispuesto a ir al encuentro del pequeño de 12 años de edad, a quien conoció durante un juego de Xbox a través de Internet, de acuerdo con reportes de KHOU-TV.
El jueves pasado, Elizabeth decidió que prefería jugar el juego del amor de verdad y le robó la tarjeta de crédito a su madre, se coló por la ventana del dormitorio y se metió en Versa de Nissan modelo 2011 de su hermano, según KRIV-TV.
Robinson se dirigió hacia el norte a través de Arkansas para cumplir con el objeto de su afecto, Dylan, en Nashville, de Tennessee
La madre de Isabel, Tressa Robinson, comenzó a notar algunos cambios en la dolescente poco tiempo antes de que ella realizara la fuga.
"Ella comenzó a quedarse en su dormitorio más, se aisló, siempre estaba con los auriculares, siempre hablando con alguien", dijo Robinson a la estación de TV. "Así es como se comunicaban a través de la Xbox".
Cuando el padre de Elizabeth se llevó el Xbox a principios de esta semana, decidió huir a Hodgenville, Kentucky, para conocer a Dylan.
Aunque Dylan trató de disuadirla de esta peripecia, Elizabeth lo hizo.
La adolescente estaba a unos 50 kilómetros de distancia de Nashville cuando la policía local finalmente la aprehendió, según informó al Houston Chronicle, Thomas Gilliland, portavoz de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Harris.
Le impresionó que ella fuera capaz de conducir durante tanto tiempo sin ser descubierta a pesar de estar tres años lejos de conseguir un permiso de conducir.
"Es increíble que ella fue capaz de manipular las carreteras", dijo Gilliland el papel.
Elizabeth fue puesto bajo custodia hasta que sus padres llegaron. Una vez que ella recupera de las autoridades, que decidieron organizar una reunión con Dylan por lo que su hija podía poner lo que hay que descansar.
No hay cargos se espera que sea presentada contra el ladrón de coches lovestruck adolescente, Gilliland dijo al Houston Chronicle.
