A un día de recibir a Costa Rica en la cancha del Estadio Azteca, 'Chepo' de la Torre dejó entrever que volverá ocupar dos centros delanteros en su alineación con Oribe Peralta y 'Chicharito', a los que defendió pese a su sequía goleadora en el torneo.

"Ha sido fundamental con sus movimientos para que otros puedan aprovecharlo. Hablaban de que teníamos 'Chicharodependencia' hace unos meses, ahora de que no mete gol. No importa quién lo haga o quién no lo haga, el chiste es que funcione bien el equipo y que el resultado sea favorable haga quien haga los goles", dijo el técnico en conferencia de prensa en el Centro de Alto Rendimiento de esta ciudad.

La práctica se llevó al cabo a puerta cerrada, sin embargo 'Chepo' insistirá en su parado ofensivo: "Optamos por una manera de jugar, la que hemos practicado y creemos que es la manera adecuada de hacerlo. Normalmente el resultado de un partido te da la razón. El 'Cepillo' lo ha hecho muy bien".

De la misma forma, quedó claro que en la portería José de Jesús Corona volverá a ser titular, por encima del astro Memo Ochoa, a quien el técnico no le ha dado más explicaciones de su suplencia que a otros: "Hablo con todos. También viene Maza Rodríguez, Héctor Moreno, Andrés Guardado y “Chícharo” Hernández y eso no quiere decir que vayan a ser titular, la competencia está abierta para todos y en eso he sido claro y no desde ahora, desde el inicio”.

Abundando aún más en su plantilla, el estratega del Tricolor afirmó que el volante Severo Meza está listo para participar, pese a una lesión que sufrió en San José el viernes: "(Severo) Está para jugar, ha hecho bien los entrenamientos, sí ha estado bajo observación con el médico, se siente muy bien, ha entrenado al cien con sus compañeros".

Sobre lo que espera de Costa Rica en el Coloso de Santa Úrslula, 'Chepo' adelantó que los ticos será precavidos, a diferencia de la postura ofensiva con que jugaron en su casa: "Van a tener precauciones, los esperamos bien parados, con orden".

México enfrenta a Costa Rica este martes con la posibilidad de asegurar su boleto al Hexagonal Final de la CONCACAF, si llega a 12 unidades de 12 posibles en cuatro juegos.
