El director técnico de la Selección de Costa Rica, el colombiano Jorge Luis Pinto, debe levantar la moral de los jugadores y hacerles ver que el poderío del equipo mexicano no está al nivel de otros como Argentina, Brasil y España, planteó hoy aquí un analista deportivo.

El Tri presenta aspectos futbolísticos “inferiores” a los de estos rivales a los que “La Sele” costarricense ha enfrentado correctamente, según Gaetano “Tano” Pandolfo, en su columna cotidiana denominada “Nota de Tano”.

En costa Rica, la Selección de México no es temida, planteó Pandolfo, quien, en una radioemisora local, dirige semanalmente el programa de análisis deportivo y participación de oyentes denominado “Tano: qué tal?”.

“Jorge Luis Pinto está en la obligación de levantar la moral a sus discípulos y bajarle los decibeles sobre lo que es la selección mexicana”, aseguró el experto, en el artículo publicado esta mañana en el diario costarricense La República.

“Es lo que dicta la lógica en cualquier equipo del mundo y lo que debe hacer un entrenador ya sea de un colectivo o individualmente”, indicó.

“México tiene un nivel de futbol inferior a Argentina, Brasil y España, tres rivales de peso a los que Costa Rica enfrentó en amistosos -nunca lo olvidemos-, con buen suceso”, reflexionó el “Tano”.

“Como parámetro, el haber enfrentado a esas tres potencias futbolísticas del planeta, le sirve a los seleccionados costarricenses, básicamente, para no entrar con temor a los partidos ante los mexicanos”, sugirió.

“Aquí en Costa Rica, a México no le tiene miedo nadie”, aseguró.

“Se le tiene respeto y quienes analizan el futbol correctamente, reconocen que su nivel futbolístico es superior al nuestro, y no por poquito, sino por mucho y esto es lo que está en juego el viernes, para no lanzarnos todavía al juego de vuelta en el Azteca”, señaló.

Pandolfo aludió así a los partidos eliminatorios mundialistas, respectivamente, de ´ida y vuelta´, que ambas selecciones deben protagonizar en el marco de la confederación Norte, Centroamericana y del Caribe de Futbol (Concacaf).

“Ahora, una cosa que adelanta Pinto es cierta. Si la Selección Nacional logra jugar un gran partido, desde luego que puede derrotar a México, pero ese gran partido que urge, hace rato que no lo vemos en el futbol costarricense”, indicó.

“La Selección Nacional de Pinto está repleta de dudas y no tanto porque no haya logrado armar un equipo titular, sino (…) porque por lo menos ocho jugadores que han sido estelares en la formación del colombiano, no han podido construir muy buenos partidos”, planteó.

El comentario de Pandolfo fue publicado dos días antes de que los conjuntos costarricense y mexicano se enfrenten, en partido de ida, en el torneo eliminatorio mundialista de la Concacaf.

El partido está programado para la noche de este viernes, en el Estadio Nacional, en el sector oeste esta capital, a partir de las 20:00 hora local (02:00 GMT del sábado).

El de vuelta está previsto para cumplirse cuatro días después, y tiene como escenario al emblemático Estadio Azteca, en la capital mexicana.

Costa Rica y México integran, con El Salvador y Guayana, el Grupo B

–el segundo de tres bloques de cuatro equipos cada uno- en la etapa eliminatoria por grupos del actual torneo de la Concacaf.

La Tabla de Posiciones de este cuarteto muestra, con dos jornadas cumplidas, a México, con seis puntos, en el primero de los cuatro lugares, seguido por Costa Rica (cuatro), El Salvador (uno), Guyana (cero).
