Con 37 años a cuestas, David Beckham está viviendo su mejor temporada a nivel personal en la MLS. Además de ser el actual campeón, lleva una racha goleadora inusual, que se acrecentó este sábado con un golazo de tiro libre ante los Vancouver Whitecaps.

Al minuto 78 del partido, el volante inglés cobró una falta fuera del área y con su magistral toque dejó sin oportunidad al portero y sentenció la victoria angelina 2-0.

Beckham suma así siete goles en la temporada, su mejor récord desde que arribó a la Unión Americana. Su mejor marca previa eran cinco que consiguió en 2008, la primera vez que completó un campeonato.

Además de todo, esta es su quinta anotación en los últimos ocho partidos de liga, un gran momento, aunque ya no es suficiente para acompañar a su selección que buscará un lugar en el próximo campeonato de Brasil 2014.

Galaxy marcha cuarto en la Conferencia Oeste, con 43 unidades.
