Descubre los modelos que serán descontinuados del mercado estadounidense (FOTOS)

Así como todos los años ingresan nuevos modelos a competir al mercado, lo mismo sucede en sentido contrario, es decir, cada año un grupo de automóviles dice adiós de forma definitiva. En muchas ocasiones los modelos que cada año son eliminados responden principalmente a bajas ventas o a que serán reemplazados por un producto más idóneo para su segmento.

Según un reciente reporte de CNN Money para el año 2012, serán varios los modelos que dejaran definitivamente el mercado. Por ejemplo, tenemos la completa línea de modelos Maybach, esa marca germana de ultra lujo perteneciente a Daimler-Benz, la cual en cuanto a ventas nunca pudo competir codo a codo con sus similares inglesas Bentley y Rolls-Royce.

Otros ejemplos son los crossovers Hyundai Veracruz y Mazda CX-7, los cuales serán reemplazados por productos conceptualmente más apropiados y eficientes. Es de llamar la atención un caso extraño, la eliminación del Jeep Liberty y del Chrysler Town & Country, modelos que aún se venden en buenos números y cuya salida del mercado responde a una reestructuración de la empresa. Eso sí, ambos modelos serán reemplazados por un único modelo del tipo crossover.

That's the question that Infiniti hopes your neighbor will ask if you decide to purchase the G37s cheaper identical twin brother. In an effort to bring new, younger and more budget-minded buyers to the luxury brand, infiniti built an entry level car out of the brand's popular G37 sedan. Instead of the G37's stoplight drag race winning 3.7 liter V6 the G25 has to make due with a small block V6 that puts out 218 Horsepower through a seven speed automatic transmission. This means that you won't be winning many stop light drag races even though the smaller V6 loves to rev. But what you lose in power, you make up for in what Infiniti says is segment leading fuel economy.

Everything about the R-Class is exactly what you would come to expect from a company like Mercedes-Benz; they really understand luxury. The quality of materials, the way the steering wheel feels, the design of the interior is one step above the competition. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz R-Class has a base price of $52,690.
