El astro argentino Lionel Messi logró salvar a su equipo Barcelona de perder su primer juego de la temporada, pues con sus goles en la parte final del cotejo hizo que su escuadra le diera la vuelta al marcador para poner imponerse en El Sadar al conjunto del Osasuna por 2-1.

A pesar de que el cuadro blaugrana tuvo, como es su costumbre, mayor tiempo el balón, el equipo del Osasuna supo maniatarlo y logró rápidamente irse arriba en el marcador por medio de Joseba Llorente, quien dentro del área mandó el balón a las redes.

El partido fue un ir y venir en ambas porterías, pero la escuadra culé no tuvo la capacidad de poder igualar el marcador, pues ni Andrés Iniesta ni Cristian Tello ni Lionel Messi pudieron concretar las oportunidades que tuvieron, siendo los hombres con más llegada al marco rival de su equipo.

Para el segundo tiempo, Osasuna tuvo sus aproximaciones, incluso más que el rival, pero no pudo incrementar su ventaja; sin embargo, en la parte final hizo su presencia el mejor jugador del mundo para en un abrir y cerrar de ojos darle la vuelta al marcador.

Las anotaciones del empate y de la voltereta llegaron hasta los minutos 76 y 80 en los botines de Lionel Messi, quien aprovechó las asistencias de Alexis Sánchez y Jordi Alba, respectivamente, para mandar ambos goles con las zurda al fondo de las redes.

Los goles fueron veneno puro para el cuadro pamplonés, por lo que en los minutos finales se quedó sin argumentos para poder siquiera sacar la anotación del empate.
