CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.-Con una gran actuación del ex jugador felino Pablo Barrera, el conjunto de Cruz Azul se paró con mucha personalidad en terreno ajeno y logró llevarse una importante victoria sobre los Pumas, luego de imponerse por la mínima diferencia en la fecha seis del Torneo Apertura 2012.
El conjunto de Pumas siguió mostrando su irregularidad de juego, ya que en esta ocasión dejó atrás su gran encuentro que ofreció la semana pasada ante Santos y en este cotejo fue superado por su rival, que en la mayor parte del encuentro fue superior y tuvo las oportunidades más claras.
Sin duda alguna, el jugador del partido fue el ex futbolista felino, Pablo Barrera, que durante todo el tiempo fue un dolor de cabeza para la zaga universitaria, ya que gracias a su habilidad desbordó a diestra y siniestra por las bandas, e incluso en sus pies nació el gol con el que su equipo se llevó la victoria.
Desde el inicio del enfrentamiento, Cruz Azul dejó ver su mejor futbol, pero durante los primeros 45 minutos no tuvo la capacidad para poderse ir arriba en el marcador ante su superioridad, pues desperdició oportunidades que pudieron haber terminado en gol, la más clara estuvo a cargo de Mariano Pavone, quien en una gran jugada quedó solo frente al marco vacío y voló la esférica.
Para al inicio del segundo tiempo, Pumas quiso reaccionar en los primeros 45 minutos; sin embargo, al minuto 69, por la banda derecha Pablo Barrera se quitó a sus marcadores y envió centro exacto a Pavone, quien con fuerte cabezazo mandó el balón a las redes, a pesar de que el portero Patiño alcanzó a tocar la esférica.
Con el gol, Cruz Azul siguió siendo mejor, mientras que el timonel felino, Joaquín del Olmo, trató de darle otra cara a su ataque con el ingreso de Eduardo Herrera y Carlos Orrantia, pero éste nunca llegó, siendo más fácil de que los cementeros pudieran incrementar su ventaja que Pumas empatar, por lo que el partido quedó sentenciado.
