México (Notimex).- Xolos de Tijuana se encargó de regresar a su realidad al América, que no pudo con una gran labor de Cirilo Saucedo para perder por 0-1, en duelo de la fecha seis del Torneo Apertura 2012 de la Liga MX, disputado en el estadio Azteca, que tuvo una pobre entrada.

El gol de la victoria fue obra del argentino Cristian Pellerano, al minuto 40, con lo que Tijuana llegó a 13 unidades. En tanto, Águilas, que falló un penal a cargo del ecuatoriano Christian Benítez, se quedó con nueve puntos.

Palabras ciertas fueron las que dijo Miguel Herrera la víspera en el sentido que la escuadra azulcrema ya había dado espectáculo, pero una cosa es hacerlo frente a rivales de escasa capacidad, como Querétaro y Correcaminos, y otro ante un equipo mucho más hecho, como lo es el de Tijuana.

Aun así, los de casa tuvieron una oportunidad para terminar con el cero al minuto 20, en un centro por izquierda del argentino Daniel Montenegro a segundo poste, donde Benítez tuvo para batir a Cirilo Saucedo, sin embargo, su remate de cabeza se fue a un lado.

Después de este susto, el cuadro bajo de la “jauría” ajustó y prácticamente ya no permitió que los de casa pisaran con fuerza su área, lo controlaron para allanar el camino hacia el primer gol de encuentro.

Los de la frontera tampoco habían llegado con gran fuerza sobre la portería de Hugo González, sin embargo, en lo que fue prácticamente su primer arribo, lograron terminar con el cero con un gran disparo del argentino Cristian Pellerano, que se coló en el ángulo superior izquierdo, al minuto 40.

El travesaño se interpuso en el segundo gol de Xolos, luego de un disparo del argentino naturalizado mexicano Alfredo Moreno, para irse al descanso con la ventaja mínima.

No se necesitaba ser un genio para darse cuenta que los azulcremas necesitaban modificar en algo, por ello, ya en un segundo tiempo entrando en su etapa de madurez, el “Piojo” Herrera decidió mandar a la cancha a José María Cárdenas en lugar de un, como casi siempre, poco sobresaliente argentino Daniel Montenegro.

Al ver que con eso no bastaba, fue el momento para Christian Bermúdez, pero el problema fue que se quedaron con un hombre menos por la expulsión de Paúl Aguilar, quien se ganó la segunda tarjeta amarilla al fingir de manera tonta una falta dentro del área.

Con unos Xolos echados completamente atrás, América se fue con todo al frente y pese a tener un hombre menos, cerca estuvo de conseguir el empate, algo que Saucedo les impidió gracias a dos grandes intervenciones.

La primera en un remate picado de Benítez que llevaba dirección de gol, pero Cirilo, en un manotazo providencial, evitó la caída de su marco.

Cuando parecía que todo ya había acabado, apareció la figura del silbante Mauricio Morales, quien marcó una polémica falta dentro del área sobre Antonio López, lo que provocó el enojo del “Turco” Mohamed, quien sin mas abandonó el campo antes de que se cobrara el disparo de penal.

Benítez fue el encargado de ejecutar, pero una vez más no tuvo puntería y mandó el balón por encima del travesaño, con lo que Xolos se llevó un triunfo merecido por lo que hizo en un partido que terminó en un conato de bronca entre Santiago Baños, auxiliar de Herrera, y Alfredo Moreno.

El arbitraje estuvo a cargo de Mauricio Morales, quien tuvo una labor muy mala. Expulsó por doble amarilla a Paúl Aguilar (74); el argentino Daniel Montenegro (4) y Raúl Jiménez (89) vieron cartón preventivo por los locales, lo mismo que el paraguayo Pablo Aguilar (2), Edgar Castillo (70) y el argentino Pellerano (76) de la visita.
