WASHINGTON, D.C.- Funcionarios del Servicio de Control de Inmigración y Aduanas (ICE) presentaron una demanda contra el fin de las deportaciones de los "Dreamers" y el otorgamiento de acción diferida.

La acción legal, presentada en Texas, argumenta que la administración del presidente Barack Obama impone a los oficiales del ICE que "violen la ley federal y sus juramentos para protegerla". También asegura que la medida viola la ley de procedimientos administrativos y usurpa los poderes del Congreso en materia migratoria.

El presidente del Subcomité de Inmigración, Lamar Smith (R-TX), dio su apoyo a la demanda. "Esta política no sólo daña a los agentes de ICE, sino también a estadounidenses desempleados que tienen que competir con inmigrantes ilegales por los escasos trabajos disponibles", declaró.
