LONDRES (AP) — Un día después de completar un Golden Slam --añadiendo la corona olímpica a los cuatro títulos grandes que ya tenía--, Serena Williams pensaba en los nuevos trofeos por venir.

Williams hablaba el lunes de revalidar su título olímpico en los juegos de Río de Janeiro del 2016, a los 34 años, apenas horas después de haber ganado con su hermana Venus el oro en dobles por tercera vez consecutiva.

"Me propongo estar allí a menos que Dios disponga otra cosa", afirmó Williams.

Williams, quien tiene 14 títulos grandes de singles en su haber y cuatro medallas olímpicas de oro --la misma cantidad que su hermana Venus--, se ha repuesto de problemas físicos que la tuvieron a maltraer hace un año.

"Cuando crea que ya no puedo ser la más grande, dejaré de jugar, pero siento que todavía tengo algo para dar. No estoy cansada y estoy disfrutando", declaró Williams, quien tiene 30 años.
