Londres, (Notimex).- La gimnasta rusa Aliya Mustafina, de 17 años, se cubrió hoy de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 2012 al imponerse en la final de las barras asimétricas con una calificación de 16.133.

La medalla de plata fue para la china Kexin He, quien acumuló 15.933, mientras que la británica Elizabeth Tweddle completó el podio con 15.916.

Una excelente ejecución fue la que realizó la atleta rusa, lo que le valió la calificación más alta, 9.133, y con ello la presea dorada.

Y es que en dificultad obtuvo 7.000, menos que la china He (7.100), sin embargo, la asiática no estuvo tan fina en ejecución (8.833) como hace cuatro años, cuando consiguió justamente el título en Beijing 2008, y se quedó en esta ocasión con la plata.

En la tercera posición acabó la anfitriona Tweddle, que con cuatro títulos mundiales sigue incrementando su palmarés a la edad de 27 años. En el aterrizaje, la británica perdió un poco el equilibrio y debió dar un paso atrás, lo que le costó un mejor lugar.

De esta manera, Mustafina ya puede presumir una medalla de cada color en Londres 2012, puesto que también obtuvo el trofeo plateado por equipos y el bronce en el concurso individual.

La joven estadounidense Gabrielle Douglas, de 16 años y quien se colgó el oro en el all around, que la ponía como una de las favoritas, debió conformarse con un diploma al acabar octava (última), con una puntuación de 14.900.
