LONDRES (AP) — El COI expulsó a una gimnasta de Uzbekistán de los Juegos Olímpicos tras confirmar el positivo por dopaje en el contranálisis.

Luiza Galiulina dio positivo en el uso del diurético prohibido furosimida en un control de orina previo a los Juegos y fue descalificada y obligada a abandonar Villa, dijo el portavoz del COI, Mark Adams.

Galiulina, una gimnasta poco conocida y de escasas opciones de medalla, estuvo suspendida temporalmente hasta conocer los resultados del contranálisis, que finalmente confirmaron el positivo.

La uzbeca fue la segunda atleta expulsada de los Juegos de Londres por dopaje. La pesista albanesa Hysen Pulaku fue descalificada la semana pasada tras dar positivo en el uso del esteroide estanozolol
