El atleta Travis Stevens (su página de facebook) de los Estados Unidos, en la jornada de este martes en la disciplina de Judo, perdió ante el alemán Ole Bischo, quien venciera a una de las promesas estadounidenses en la categoría de 81 kilogramos en los Juegos Olímpicos.

Minutos antes, Stevens salía victorioso después de derrotar a Alajaz Sedej de Eslovenia en la competición masculina de judo de 81 kilogramos.

No obstante, de su encuentro contra el germano Bischo, quien ganó la medalla de oro en Beijing 2008, Stevens terminó con un dolor por salir sin medalla y el provocado por un golpe y una venda en su cabeza.

El judoca brasileño Leandro Guilheiro y Avtandil Tchrikishvili de Georgia, fueron las primeras víctimas de Travis en los cuartos de final de esta competencia.
