LONDRES (AP) — Oscar Figueroa consiguió el lunes la segunda medalla de Colombia en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres al terminar segundo en la división de 62 kilos del levantamiento de pesas.
Figueroa fijó un récord olímpico con 177 kilos en el envión, y totalizó 317 kilos para embolsar la segunda plata de la delegación colombiana en Londres. El ciclista Rigoberto Urán culminó segundo en la prueba de ruta.
Figueroa logró la cifra récord en su tercer y último intento, y en el total se quedó a 10 kilos del ganador del oro, el norcoreano Guk Kim Un, quien estableció un récord mundial con sus 327 kilos totales.
El indonesio Eko Yuli Irawan se llevó el bronce.
