Antes de abordar el avión que lo llevará a Inglaterra, el mexicano Erick Osornio Nuñez aseguró que ahora va por su historia en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres, luego de una larga espera de 14 años, en los cuales aprendió muchas cosas y desde luego adquirió experiencia.

“Estamos a escasos días de participar, Erick se siente bien y contento con el trabajo realizado y sólo a la espera de iniciar la fiesta”, señaló.

Apuntó que son 14 años de larga espera para enfrentar este compromiso, pero no sin antes hacer un ligero campamento en Manchester, en dónde pulirá los últimos detalles para salir con todo el 9 de agosto próximo.

“Son 14 años de estar luchando por estar en estos Juegos Olímpicos, pasé tres ciclos completos y ahora estoy a unos días de que llegue el 9 de agosto”, expuso el competidor.

Osornio, quien fue despedido por su familia que acudió a la terminal aérea de esta capital, destacó que el compromiso hecho por María del Rosario Espinoza y Guillermo Pérez, hace cuatro años con la medalla de oro, es algo que se debe seguir y la mejor manera es echar todo en el tatami.

“Ellos dejaron –María y Guillermo- un gran compromiso y dejaron en claro que el taekwondo mexicano está a nivel internacional y nosotros estamos comprometidos de hacer un buen resultado, sabemos de los complicado que será, pero vamos a dar nuestro máximo esfuerzo”, añadió.

Osornio, se mostró feliz por tener a su familia como el mayor motor para seguir en el deporte y por eso viajó este viernes acompañado por el álbum fotográfico, en donde se ven su padres, hermanos y desde luego él mismo, cuando era un niño.

    Encuentro en formato TK-5 con relevos y acumulación de puntos entre la Selección Olímpica de México y la Selección Mexicana de Taekwondo. Es aquí cuando la noche se puso al rojo vivo pues México, haciendo Gala de Espectacularidad y efectividad, se impuso a sus contrapartes del Reino Unido, pasando así a la historia contemporánea del Taekwondo Profesional que escribió su primer capítulo en el año 2009 cuando Idulio Islas se convirtió en el Primer Campeón Profesional Internacional. En la noche del 28 de Enero, Idulio Repitió la hazaña junto con los demás integrantes de su escuadra, donde todos hicieron gala del Taekwondo que se practica en México. Farías, Bruno y Erick Osornio, quienes además participan dentro de la escuadra de los Súper Crocks, mostraron la manera en que el Taekwondo ha pasado ya a su siguiente nivel evolutivo.
