Leryn Franco ha ganado fama mundial por sus habilidades deportivas, pero también por su belleza física, situación que admite y no le incomoda, de hecho, acepta que no se dedica 100% al deporte porque tiene otras actividades como el modelaje, que le ofrece las posibilidades económicas de seguir entrenando.

Esta célebre paraguaya nació en Asunción y se ha proyectado al mundo del atletismo con fuerza. Entre sus títulos está la medalla de plata y récord Nacional absoluto 56,18 en los Juegos del Alba Venezuela 2011. Medalla de plata en el Sudamericano de Buenos Aires 2011. Medalla de oro en el campeonato sudamericano sub23. Mejor atleta universitaria 2000,2001 y 2002.

Acudió a los Juegos Olímpicos de Beijing 2008, donde quedó en un lejano lugar 51, situación que lamenta, pero confía en revertir en esta justa veraniega.

En el ámbito del modelaje concursó en Miss Paraguay para Miss Mundo en 2006 y consiguió el segundo lugar. También ha incursionado en el mundo de la televisión como conductora.

"Esta será mi última participación en los Juegos Olímpicos. Este deporte me dio muchas satisfacciones. Voy a tratar de dar todo de mí para conseguir la mejor marca" explicó a la AFP
