Después del éxito, y no poco polémico, concierto de Juanes en La Habana en el 2009, el cantautor colombiano asegura que le gustaría hacer otro como parte del proyecto "Paz sin Fronteras", que busca unir a ciudadanos comunes, sin importar nacionalidades o ideologías, en pos de resolver conflictos de forma no violenta.

En entrevista con HuffPost Voces, Juanes explicó que aún no puede confirmar ni cuándo ni dónde se efectuará esta nueva convocatoria, pero que está convencido de la importancia del esfuerzo.

"Cada día más, el arte es importante en la construcción de nuestras sociedades. En algún momento volveremos a hacer algo, no sé la fecha exacta, pero está ahí en nuestros proyectos inmediatos", compartió el intérprete, quien lanzó el pasado mayo su álbum 'Juanes MTV Unplugged'.

La experiencia de cantar en la Plaza de la Revolución, en La Habana Cuba, que suscitó una ola de críticas por parte de la comunidad exiliada de Miami –especialmente de los emigrados en las primera décadas– y otro importante número de simpatizantes, que han llegado en los últimos 10 años, dejó una de las mejores experiencias sociales y artísticas en el cantautor.

"Yo quiero mucho a los cubanos; tengo recuerdos increíbles de aquel día en el escenario, de la alegría de la gente; fue una experiencia de contrastes de cosas difíciles con cosas maravillosas. Realmente lo importante fue que pudimos hacer el show", añadió.

" Por experiencias como las de Cuba es que yo sigo creyendo fuertemente en el proyecto 'Paz sin Fronteras'", enfatizó.

Juanes asegura que cuando enfrenta misiones importantes, ya sea la grabación de un disco o incluso los conciertos que ha realizado como parte de "Paz sin Fronteras", tiene siempre su amuleto o resguardo.

"Tengo mi rosario que me regaló mi mamá y otro que fue un regalo de mi esposa con mis hijos; aunque no sigo la iglesia, es una protección para mí", confesó Juanes.

El primer concierto de "Paz sin Fronteras" fue organizado, en apenas una semana, en el 2008 debido a las crecientes tensiones entre Colombia y Venezuela. Ese espectáculo logró reunir a más de 200 mil espectadores y una audiencia millonaria en la televisión.

El de Cuba, realizado el 20 de septiembre del 2009, convocó alrededor de un millón 200 mil jóvenes, de acuerdo con medios de prensa internacionales, que desde La Habana transmitieron cada detalle del histórico concierto, en el que Juanes invitó a varios artistas como Olga Tanón, Miguel Bosé y otros que residen en la isla caribeña.

Juanes fue nombrado una de las 100 personas más influyentes del mundo por la revista Time y ha dedicado importantes esfuerzos a su labor como activista en causas filantrópicas. A través de su fundación "Mi Sangre" ha hecho un encomiable trabajo para alertar y concientizar sobre el peligro de las de minas antipersonales, tanto en Colombia como en resto del mundo.

Además de dicha tarea para la erradicación de esos dispositivos bélicos, la fundación ayuda en la asistencia y rehabilitación de personas lesionadas por minas terrestres. Fue el primer artista latino en dar un concierto en el parlamento de la Unión Europea, con el que pudo llamar la atención acerca del problema; logró recaudar una donación dos millones y medio de euros.

El último disco del cantante, 'Juanes MTV Unplugged', se lanzó el 29 de mayo de este año y es un material producido por el cantante dominicano Juan Luis Guerra. Apenas en el 2011 Juanes anuncio que se retiraba, pero el propio cantante dijo que sólo fue una pausa de trabajo, pero nunca un retiro de la música.
