David Beckham demostró que aún tiene calidad para brillar en el fútbol de alto nivel. Con dos soberbios goles del futbolista inglés, LA Galaxy derrotó la noche del sábado 5-3 a Portland en partido válido por la liga en la MLS.

Después de una suspensión de dos juegos por liarse a golpes contra sus rivales en el partido contra San José Earthquakes, 'Becks' volvió a las canchas y lo hizo con magistrales muestras de golpeo al minuto 19 y luego al 24 de la primera parte del choque en la cancha Jeld-Wen Field de Portland.

El actual campeón de la liga demostró que tiene el nivel para volver a los playoffs y revalidar el título.

Beckham pasó por el trago amargo de no integrar a la selección de Gran Bretaña que participará en los Juegos Olímpicos, a pesar de que él ha sido una de las caras más visibles en la promoción de los anfitriones.

Gracias a su buen momento y fama, volverá a integrar al equipo de estrellas de la MLS que enfrentarán al Chelsea el próximo 25 de julio, justo el día en que inicia el fútbol olímpico.
